Our very popular annual picnic at The Cove at Concord Park is scheduled for Saturday, May 19th, beginning at 10 am and running until 3 pm. Although participation in the picnic is reserved for club members and guests, the public is welcome and encouraged to come out to view the Model A’s, take pictures, meet our membership, and ask questions. We hope to see you there!

The club has reserved the picnic shelter, which is equipped with a charcoal grill, picnic tables, and enough space to accommodate the entire club. The shelter, located on the shore of Loudon Lake, has adequate parking (special area set aside for Model A’s only).

The Cove at Concord Park has easy access to the lake for swimming and canoeing/kayaking, a short stroll to a seven-tenths-of-a-mile walking trail, convenient restroom facilities, and a playground for the young un’s. Volunteers are welcome to come early to help with the picnic preparations, line up the Model A’s, share good times with old Model A friends, and perhaps make some new friends.

The club will be furnishing the hamburgers/hot dogs and plenty of ice-cold soft drinks and water, so cook up one of your famous picnic side dishes or desserts and come join us for a good old-fashioned picnic by the lake! Ken and Jean Lund have made the reservation for the picnic pavilion and Jim Wolfe will oversee the cooking.

Experience tells us that there will be an abundance of delicious home-cooked side dishes and desserts.
